Yair Alcobi appointed as new XJet CEO

Founder and previous CEO, Hanan Gothait, will take the position of President

XJet Ltd’s Founder, Hanan Gothait, is stepping away from his role as CEO and is taking the position of President. Yair Alcobi is set to take on the role of CEO.

The move comes as part of ambitious planned growth for the company. With its ceramic additive manufacturing technology established and its metal AM system now commercially available, XJet anticipates a significant ramp-up in business over the next few years. XJet is the only company in the world that uses direct material jetting to manufacture metal and ceramic parts, offering users exceptional benefits in material density and part quality.

Orit Tesler Levy joined XJet as CFO in April

With his broad business experience, Yair Alcobi will steer the company through this demanding period with the support of Avi Cohen who joined XJet as Executive Chairman of the Board last year. Another new appointment is Orit Tesler Levy, who takes the position of CFO to further strengthen the management team.

In previous roles as President of the PCB Division of KLA, and President of Orbotech East Asia Subsidiary, Yair Alcobi has a proven record of expanding revenues and profits. Yair Alcobi grew division revenues significantly, doubling the operating profit.

“It has been a comprehensive process to search for a new CEO for XJet. We interviewed and considered many candidates before making our decision. Yair’s record in scaling businesses is enviable and exactly the right fit for taking XJet to the next level,” said Cohen. “We have exciting times ahead and I am sure that Yair has what it takes to make XJet successful. I look forward to working closely with Yair.”

Cohen added, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Hanan for the many years of leadership he’s dedicated to XJet, bringing it to this point. His vision for the technology has been palpable from day one, building an exceptional team of experts and getting the company to its current position took a great deal of hard work. Over the past year, I have worked very closely with Hanan and I know that as President he will continue to make a significant contribution and I look forward to continuing our cooperation.”

Yair Alcobi asserted, “As someone who has worked closely with many top-tier, global manufacturers, I fully understand the potential of additive manufacturing, and especially in materials like metal and ceramic. XJet technology is remarkable and I’m extremely motivated to expand the business and ensure XJet becomes a clear leader in its market.”

Yair Alcobi will also be supported by Tesler Levy, who comes to XJet in the CFO position with significant experience from Applied Materials in Israel and Silicon Systems Segment in California, USA. Tesler Levy also has industry experience following a previous role as VP Finance FP&A Business Partnering at Stratasys.
