XponentialWorks to supply free 3D printing to XPRIZE competitors

XponentialWorks, a corporate advisory company specializing in 3D printing, AI, robotics and other next-gen technologies, has been selected as the official partner of XPRIZE for all matters relating to generative design and additive manufacturing. XPRIZE is a non-profit organization that plans and manages incentive competitions for solving “humanity’s grand challenges,” including the Lunar XPRIZE.

Through the partnership, XponentialWorks will leverage its own expertise in 3D printing and other technologies to provide the XPRIZE Foundation with unlimited, free 3D printing. This service will be extended to all registered teams across XPRIZE’s current and future competitions.

The lifetime collaboration was established by 3D printing pioneer Avi Reichental, the Founder and CEO of XponentialWorks and XPRIZE Founder and Executive Chairman Peter H. Diamandis.

“We live in an extraordinary time where we can take ideas to materialization faster than ever before,” said Diamandis. “Exponential technologies, including 3D printing, are fundamental to helping transform the ways modern problems are solved. On behalf of the organization, and all teams competing for an XPRIZE now and in the future, we’re so proud and grateful to XponentialWorks for their partnership in this journey to creating a world of abundance for all.”

Many of the teams that participate in XPRIZE innovation competitions are early-stage companies, who may not have the necessary resources to 3D print and prototype their products. Now, thanks to XponentialWorks, they will be able to benefit from additive manufacturing, exploiting faster lead times and lower production costs for prototyping. The access to 3D printing will also likely enable competition participants to deliver better submissions within allotted times.

Logistically, XponentialWorks says that any confirmed and registered teams competing in an XPRIZE contest can share their designs with them and they will deliver 3D printed parts for free, no matter where the contest participant is in the world.

“A big part of harvesting the upside of exponential tech disruption is the responsibility and privilege to pay it forward and no other organization packs the long lasting societal and economic impact of XPRIZE,” commented Reichental. “It is truly an honor to be part of building a bridge to abundance with XPRIZE by continuing our talents and resource to leave behind a better world for all mankind.”
