# Xometry names Sanjeev Singh Sahni as CEO in planned leadership transition

[AI-native custom manufacturing marketplace operator Xometry Inc.](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/xometry/) has named current President Sanjeev Singh Sahni as its next CEO, with the transition set to take effect on July 1.

Co-founder and outgoing CEO Randy Altschuler will move into the role of executive chair, with Sahni joining the company's board of directors. 

Altschuler, who co-founded the company in 2013, described the leadership change as deliberate and [timed to coincide with a period of financial momentum](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xometry-posts-record-q3-2025-revenue-as-marketplace-growth-accelerates/).

“I co-founded Xometry in 2013 to digitize the global manufacturing market, and our record 2025 results are a testament to how far we've come,” he stated. “[With the company on a clear and increasingly profitable trajectory](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xometry-reports-record-q2-2025-revenue-of-163-million-23/), this is the ideal time to transition our leadership from a position of maximum strength.

“During his tenure, Sanjeev has proven instrumental to Xometry's accelerated revenue growth and expanding profitability. As the largest individual long-term shareholder, I am confident that this planned succession will further accelerate Xometry's momentum under Sanjeev's leadership.”

Altschuler will focus on strategic growth initiatives and key corporate partnerships in his new role, in combination with his board-level involvement. Fabio Rosati, Chairman of the Board, will remain as lead independent director.

“Following a disciplined and collaborative succession process, the Board is thrilled to appoint Sanjeev as CEO and Randy as Executive Chairman,” stated Rosati. “Since joining as President, Sanjeev has proven his leadership abilities and demonstrated the strategic and operational vision required to lead Xometry through its next era of expansion.”

Sahni’s step up to CEO comes [just over a year after he joined Xometry, in January 2025](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xometry-appoints-sanjeev-singh-sahni-as-president/).
