# Xact Metal ships its 150th metal 3D printer

Aiming to expand access to affordable metal 3D printing for small-to-medium-sized companies and decentralize additive manufacturing, [Xact Metal](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/xact-metal/) reported achieving its second-highest order revenue in 4Q 2024 and shipping its 150th metal 3D printer.

![Xact Metal celebrates a milestone with the shipment of its 150th metal 3D printer. Learn about their success in expanding access to affordable metal 3D printing.](https://www.voxelmatters.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Zero-Tolerance-Steve-Michon-Owner.jpeg)“4Q 2024 was our second highest order revenue quarter,” said Juan Mario Gomez, CEO of Xact Metal. “Key to this success has been our application and industry focus, which continues to be well received by our customers and has resulted in new and repeat orders from key industry-leading customers. In the tooling industry, for example, we experienced a strong reception of our high-performing XM200G metal printer and our recently announced partnership with [Uddeholm, a world-leading manufacturer of tool steel for industrial tools](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xact-metal-enters-partnership-with-uddeholm/). Together, we bring our high-performing Xact Metal XM200G metal printer plus their corrosion-resistant Corrax metal powder to help solve challenging applications in injection molding.”

“In December 2024, we also shipped our 150th metal 3D printer, which was delivered to Zero Tolerance, a growing plastic injection mold machine shop located in Clinton Township, Michigan,” said Gomez. “We are excited to see what Steve Michon, the owner, and the team at Zero Tolerance will do with their XM200G metal 3D printer as they continue to invest in the highest performance machinery and tooling to succeed in the production mold industry.”

[The company received its 100th 3D printer order in May 2023](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xact-metal-receives-100th-printer-order/), meaning it took 18 months to sell an additional 50 machines. That marks a significant acceleration, considering the first 100 machines were sold over six years since the company first entered the market in mid-2017. In [2022, Xact Metal also introduced the XM300](https://www.voxelmatters.com/xact-metal-to-launch-the-xm300g-series-of-metal-3d-printers/) mid-size metal 3D printers at IMTS in Chicago, Illinois. The series aims to bring affordable metal 3D printing to small- to medium-sized companies and decentralize metal 3D printing. These systems are priced beginning at a US MSRP of $200,000 dollars, and are based on the XM200G multi-laser printer platform, marking another example of how Xact Metal continues to combine the requirements of metal powder-bed fusion and advanced technology to establish a new level of price and performance for additive manufacturing.
