# Xact Metal reports 30% growth in 2025 and appoints

[Xact Metal](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/xact-metal/) reported more than 30% year-over-year growth in orders for 2025, driven by increased demand for its accessible metal 3D printing systems among small and medium-sized manufacturers. The company also appointed Mark Barfoot as Vice President of Global Sales as it pursues further expansion in additive manufacturing markets worldwide.

Chief Executive Officer Juan Mario Gomez said the company’s strategy to offer metal additive manufacturing at a lower cost point while maintaining performance “continues to be welcomed by our customers.” Gomez cited strong uptake of the company’s XM200G single- and dual-laser metal printers in defense, plastic injection molding, and medical applications.

Xact Metal also reported positive customer feedback for its XM200G µHD system, which prints small, high-precision components using metal powders with particle sizes between 5 and 15 micrometers and a 25 µm laser spot size. The company added that development of its mid-size XM300G four-laser printer remains underway as part of its roadmap to scale production capabilities.

To support the company’s next phase of growth, Xact Metal named Mark Barfoot as Vice President of Global Sales. Barfoot brings more than 25 years of experience in additive manufacturing, including leadership positions at Voxel Innovations, the Edison Welding Institute, Javelin Technologies, and the University of Waterloo’s Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Lab. He has also been active with the AMUG for over a decade.
