# Xact Metal posts double‑digit growth as it scales commercial sales team

[The US-based metal 3D printer manufacturer](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/xact-metal/) [Xact Metal](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/xact-metal/) has achieved more than 30 percent year‑over‑year growth in orders during both its second and third quarters of 2025, continuing momentum from late 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. The company also says it has expanded its commercial sales and applications team to penetrate new markets.

## Strong momentum in order growth

Xact Metal stated that its order growth in 2Q and 3Q 2025 both exceeded 30 percent compared to the same periods in 2024. According to CEO Juan Mario Gomez, the company has intentionally targeted industry segments such as defense and plastic injection molding over the past two years and has aimed to bring metal powder‑bed fusion technology to smaller and medium‑sized firms, as well as decentralizing what he describes as “central labs” within larger organizations.

“This focus on key industry applications … together with our strategy to bring metal powder‑bed fusion to small and medium-sized organizations … continues to be welcomed by our customers,” said Gomez. The underlying message is that demand for localized, lower‑cost metal additive manufacturing is accelerating, particularly among firms unable or unwilling to invest in large centralized systems.

## Scaling sales to broaden addressable markets

To support its growth trajectory, Xact Metal reports that it has expanded its sales and applications ranks during 2Q and 3Q 2025. The company has added three new hires: Mark Barfoot, Jim Snodgrass, and Wyatt Fink, bringing what it describes as “strong technical and commercial experience in metal additive manufacturing.” With the enlarged team, Xact Metal intends to further push into medically and aerospace sectors.

The company positions these additions as strategic moves to increase its addressable market beyond existing segments, and to support customers better as usage of metal 3D printing spreads to smaller and more distributed manufacturing settings.
