x3D Group debuts AI-driven online 3D printing platform for technical parts

x3D Group has released a new version of x3D-Print.com, aimed at self-service ordering and automating key production steps. Founded in 2015 and focused on industrializing advanced manufacturing, the company reports that nearly 1,200 clients use its service for technical parts and prototypes.

The platform combines automated analysis of 3D files to reduce errors, realistic preproduction rendering, and automatic parsing of 2D drawings to detect features such as holes and inserts. Orders can be placed through a guided, account-based workflow with step-by-step production tracking, and expert assistance is available when needed. A “Competitive Watch” module is positioned as a price-alignment mechanism designed to secure the best available market rate.

x3D-Print supports SLA, SLS, MJF, FDM, and metal 3D printing via SLM. The company also offers molding and machining to cover prototyping, preproduction, and series production. With the new setup, AI selects suitable materials, estimates costs, optimizes build strategies, and strengthens quality control. Production is carried out in France using certified materials with quality checks aligned to demanding ISO standards. A broad materials catalog is referenced, although a detailed list is not published.
