Würth Additive Group and B9Creations partner to standardize quality in distributed AM
Partnership targets production variability in spare parts networks; B9Creations brings QA/QC framework to WAG's digital inventory platform
Würth Additive Group (WAG) and B9Creations have formed a strategic partnership, announced at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) 2026 conference.
The companies will bring together “B9Creations’ production-grade additive manufacturing solutions with Würth’s Digital Inventory Services and global logistics network” to tackle head-on a common issue in distributed additive manufacturing: the inability to guarantee that a part produced at one facility will match a part produced at another.
B9Creations, a US-based manufacturer of precision 3D printers and systems integrator, is bringing its production-scale quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) framework to the collaboration.
The framework covers fleet baseline establishment, factory and site acceptance testing, operational and performance qualification, and ongoing fleet monitoring, and the approach is technology-agnostic, making its validation infrastructure applicable across differing hardware platforms.
WAG’s Digital Inventory Services (DIS) platform, along with the global logistics network of parent company Würth Group, bring DIS’s ability to enable manufacturers to replace physical stock with digital part files. These can be produced on demand to consistent quality standards at any node in a distributed network.
“The missing link has been standardized quality at scale,” stated AJ Strandquist, Chief Executive Officer of Würth Additive Group.
B9Creations stated in a company LinkedIn post: “Together, we’re enabling manufacturers to move from physical inventory to validated, on-demand production — anywhere in the world — with the quality, compliance, and repeatability required for true production.”
