Italian manufacturing service Weerg has placed—at time of writing—the largest single order of HP’s new Jet Fusion 5210 series 3D printers in the EMEA region. Weerg made an order for six of the machines, which were launched by HP in May 2019. To date, three of the Jet Fusion 5210 3D printers have been installed at Weerg’s headquarters in Gardigiano.

Davide Ferrulli, Country Lead 3D Printing HP Italia, commented on the purchase, saying: “This is, at present day, the largest single order ever placed at EMEA level. A record that we are pleased to share with a unique company like Weerg, with which we have been actively collaborating since its entry into additive manufacturing.”

Weerg is a long-time user of HP’s 3D printing technologies. In fact, when we spoke to the e-commerce company last year, they were the only 3D printing systems in use on its manufacturing floor (complementing a varied array of CNC machining systems). At the time, it had doubled its fleet of HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printers (making six in total) which was one of the largest installations of HP’s 4210 systems in the world.

Now, on the verge of having six production-ready Jet Fusion 5210 3D printers installed, Weerg is furthering its commitment to using HP’s 3D printing technology to turn out parts for its clients.

“We like to call ourselves a 5.0 Industry because we demand the best from our production department,” commented Matteo Rigamonti, Founder of Weerg. “That’s why we constantly invest in the best technologies available.”

By adding more HP 3D printers to its arsenal of manufacturing systems, Weerg says it is meeting a growing demand for its production services. Through its online web platform, which offers smart instant quoting, the company reportedly receives more than 13,000 quote requests daily and an average of 400 daily orders.

“An exponential growth especially in the 3D field, where the users, in constant evolution, are more and more attentive both to the quality of the product and to the speed of delivery times,” said Rigamonti. “With this in mind, the new HP Jet Fusion series, which includes new software and data management, offers the industrial performance we need, guaranteeing precision, repeatability and speed for runs of up to thousands of units.”

HP’s new Jet Fusion 5210 series offers a heightened degree of productivity to manufacturers, with enhanced automation and workflow management. With six machines to be installed, Weerg says it will be able to up its production capacity by 50% while also improving the quality of printed parts.

“Our goal is to create millions of different units per year,” concluded Rigamonti. “And we can achieve it through perfect work organization and a flow that allows both automation and precision. For this reason, we will continue to rely on cutting-edge partners such as HP, investing in the latest generation of systems with industry standards.”.
