Webinar: Propelling manufacturing to new heights with advanced metal 3D printing

3dpbm and Velo3D co-host webinar on March 22, 2022

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

Join us on March 22 for an exclusive webinar with advanced metal additive manufacturing specialist Velo3D and its client Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Technology GmbH (SBOT), a leading contract manufacturer in the oil & gas industry. 3dpbm Co-Founder and CEO Davide Sher will moderate a discussion and presentation by leaders and engineers from Velo3D and SBOT.

The challenges contract manufacturers face today

Contract manufacturers (CMs) face a unique hurdle when attempting to expand their businesses and grow into new markets. This is due to the fact that CMs tend to be equipped to meet the needs of their existing customers for the production of specific parts. Expansion is typically therefore driven by growing customer needs, which does not encourage CMs to break into new markets and customer bases on their own.

Advanced metal additive manufacturing could change all this. As we’ll explore in the upcoming webinar, Velo3D’s end-to-end metal AM solution and unique sales model, tailored to CMs and OEMs, is enabling clients like SBOT to expand and pursue new industries, like space, aviation and emerging energy. Specifically, the California-based AM company works closely with contract manufacturers, building a portion of the demand for their networks for free. Velo3D technical sales engineers are also on hand to provide CMs and OEMs with training and support to make the most of their metal additive manufacturing and its capabilities.

By facilitating the adoption and scaling of its metal AM solution, Velo3D enables CMs like SBOT to unlock greater supply chain agility while benefiting from the demand that Velo3D’s CM network and manufacturing infrastructure provides. Velo3D and SBOT will illustrate this opportunity further at the online event.
