Join VoxelMatters at MADExAM – Meet The Metal Makers
An event organized in collaboration with Milan Politecnico and AITA to learn about the latest in metal PBF technology

VoxelMatters is co-organizing the event “MadeXAM – Meet the metal makers: Powder Bed Fusion”, in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and AITA (the Italian Association Additive Manufacturing). If you are in the Milan area next June 30th you are invited to participate, from 9:30 to 13:00, at the Made Competence Center Industry 4.0 of the Politecnico’s Industrial Manufacturing department.
During the conference, all the leading manufacturers of metal powder bed fusion systems (laser and electron beam) will present the latest news and advancements in their respective technologies.
The event, curated by Bianca Maria Colosimo and Barbara Previtali (MADE4.0 and Politecnico di Milano) and Davide Sher (VoxelMatters) will see the participation of representatives from both some of the most advanced and experimental companies to some of the most consolidated market leaders. from both the L-PBF and EB-PBF area. It will be the first time several EB-PBF system manufacturers will be present at the same conference (beyond EB-specific meetings).
In addition, for the first time it will be possible to hear from two of the companies developing some of the most innovative and revolutionary approaches for high-productivity PBF 3D printing, Seurat and VulcanForms (TBC). Overall, the list of companies presenting includes Aconity (TBC), AddUp, GE Additive (Arcam, Concept Laser), EOS, Freemelt, GF, Prima Additive, Renishaw, Seurat, SLM Solutions, Trumpf Sisma, Velo3D, Vulcan Forms (TBC) and Wayland.
Additive manufacturing (AM) is emerging as an enabling technology for the twin transition, in which digital manufacturing serves a new generation of sustainable products and processes. There are still many open challenges for producers of additive systems for metallic materials: cost reduction, increase in productivity, in the size of processable parts, reduction in post-process costs, the processability of new materials.
MADE is a Competence Center for Industry 4.0 that simulates a digital factory, created to carry out orientation, training, and finalization of technology transfer projects with Italian companies, particularly SMEs, on Industry 4.0 issues. A technical interlocutor that companies can contact to be supported during the digital transition towards a smart factory, with the aim of keeping their profile high, competitive, and sustainable.
Created by MISE (Italian Ministry of Economic Development), MADE offers a wide landscape of knowledge, methods and tools in the field of digital technologies. The Made Competence Center Industry 4.0 supports companies in addressing topics related to the digital transition to a smart, connected, and sustainable factory.
During the MadeXAM – Meet The Metal Makers: PBF conference participants will discover the latest developments by the leading producers of powder bed fusion systems and also the latest innovations presented by some of the most innovative startups that have entered the additive market in recent years, with revolutionary solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.
