Tuan TranPham named Chief Revenue Officer at Azul 3D

Now it’s official: additive manufacturing industry veteran Tuan TranPham has been named Chief Revenue Officer at Azul 3D, the company marketing the high-speed HARP (High Area Rapid Printing) 3D printing technology. HARP, together with a number of other planar, high-speed production processes such as the more established Carbon DLS, HP MJF and voxeljet HSS, and challengers such as Stratasys/Origin P3 and SAP and the newest Evolve STEP, are going to battle it out for the digital additive mass-production (DAMP) market over the next decade.

Tuan TranPham named Chief Revenue Officer at Azul 3D. With more than 18 years of experience in the field, TranPham is one of the most recognizable figures in the AM industry. He was most recently Chief Revenue Officer at AREVO. Prior to that, he worked for six of the largest 3D printing companies, including Z Corporation, 3D Systems, Objet, Stratasys, Arcam (a GE company) and Desktop Metal. While at Desktop Metal, he was recognized with the Additive Manufacturing Users Group’s (AMUG’s) most prestigious honor as elected by his peers—the Distinguished Innovator Operators (DINO) award.

With his unique perspective and insight on 3D printing applications, challenges, opportunities, and trends, TranPham said he is excited about Azul 3D’s potential market share.

“Additive manufacturing has grown more than $10 billion in the last decade,” he said. “However, I believe as this field enters true mass production, the industry will easily grow beyond $100 billion over the next decade. I chose to join Azul 3D because it has unique competitive advantages that will capture this growth due to its super-fast printing, larger build volumes, and exceptional material properties. TranPham joins Azul 3D as it prepares to launch its first commercial product, which comes on the heels of incredible growth for the company. After securing $10 million in an oversubscribed seed financing round, Azul 3D inked an exclusive development collaboration with DuPont Electronics & Imaging to bring next-generation 3D printing technologies to the forefront of the electronic materials industry. The company continues to add world-renowned experts to its advisory board and recruit top talent for its growing team.
