Tripo AI raised approximately 3 billion yuan, about $446 million, across Series B and Series B+ financing rounds, the company announced on September 1, 2026. MPCi led the rounds, with strategic backing from Perfect World, BlueFocus, SPC, Yanqu Games, ThunderSoft, and 37 Interactive Entertainment. Financial investors CDH Venture and Growth Capital, CICC, CMC Capital Partners, Hongtai Aplus, 3H Health, Zhongping Capital, and GreatOrigin Asia joined the rounds, while existing backers Fortune Capital, Primavera Capital, 4399 Network, Muhua Tech Ventures, Vitalbridge Capital, INCE Capital, and T-Capital increased their positions.

Tripo AI raises 3 billion yuan with Series B funding, showcasing strong investor confidence in its growth and potential. The new capital lands six months into a fundraising run that has brought Tripo AI’s total 2026 haul to roughly $744 million, according to Deal Street Asia, following a $50 million Series A in March led by Alibaba Group and Baidu Ventures, close to $200 million across two extended Series A tranches by June, and a Series A3 round above $148.8 million in July that drew Geely Capital, among others. Deal Street Asia reported that the company’s valuation passed $1 billion after the June tranches.

Tripo AI paired the funding announcement with the preview release of Tripo P2.0, a 3D-native foundation model that generates quad topology natively, a first for the industry. The model produces meshes of up to 50,000 triangles and 25,000 quads, built for games and real-time pipelines, and generates high-quality, production-ready 3D objects in seconds, an upgrade from the Tripo P1.0 model it succeeds.

VAST, the Beijing-founded company behind Tripo AI, was established in 2023 by Simon Song, who previously co-founded MiniMax and worked at SenseTime before studying at Johns Hopkins University. Tripo AI’s Tripo Studio and Tripo API products serve individual creators and enterprise customers including Tencent, ByteDance, HTC, and Stability AI. The company reported $12 million in annual revenue by 2025, and VoxelMatters covered its previous nearly $200 million raise and Project Eden world model initiative earlier this year.
