The Additive Days are back, and Treddy, along with co-organizer Rimas, is set to host the fifth edition of the popular event in Pescara, Italy, that celebrates everything 3D—from additive manufacturing to scanning technologies. Scheduled for next June 27th as a full-day event dedicated to technological advancement, the Additive Days 5 – or AD5 – promises to be a milestone in both substance and scale.

Born from a visionary effort to foster innovation, the Additive Days have evolved into a must-attend gathering for professionals, creators, and enthusiasts of 3D printing. In its fifth edition, Treddy continues to push the envelope, offering high-caliber content and real-world demonstrations, a peek into advanced production facilities, and thought-provoking discussions on the global role of additive manufacturing.

Addressing global challenges with 3D printing

The central theme of this year’s Additive Days 5 delves into a pressing issue: how 3D printing is shaping—and being shaped by—the current global economic environment. The importance of flexible and localized production is rising as the world contends with tariffs, geopolitical tensions, and market volatility. With its decentralized potential and cost efficiency, additive manufacturing is becoming more than a technological option—it’s becoming a strategic imperative.

Economist and asset manager Fabio Scacciavillani will open the event with a keynote titled “Additive Manufacturing as the Innovative Leap of the Internet”. His insights are expected to bridge economic theory with real-world applications, illuminating how digital production is no longer a trend but a necessity.

Among the speakers of Additive Days 5 are Francesco De Stefano, the CEO and Founder of Caracol AM, and Eleonora Giacometti, representing HP 3D Printing. These top figures will share deep insights into the evolution of key additive technologies such as extrusion LFAM and MultiJet Fusion (PBF) and their strategic implications for manufacturers worldwide.

The day will also feature real-world case studies from Treddy clients who leverage 3D printing daily. Fantic Racing, known for its innovation in motorsports, will discuss how additive manufacturing drives performance on the track. Dr. William Amighetti, an orthopedic surgeon and founder of the Give Me a Hand Foundation, will share inspiring stories about providing pediatric prosthetics in high-risk areas, enabled through Treddy’s 3D printing solutions.

From demos to live production tours

The event is designed to be as immersive as it is informative. Attendees will have access to live demonstrations of 3D printing and scanning technologies in the showroom. Hands-on experiences with leading-edge equipment will give participants a clear view of how different technologies—MJF, SLA, DLP, LFAM, and FFF—are shaping the future of production.

The highlight for many will be the “Inside Treddy” tour, offering a rare glimpse into the company’s state-of-the-art production plant. These guided visits through the printing halls, post-production departments, and R&D offices will showcase Treddy’s capacity to deliver industrial-scale, high-quality additive manufacturing services.

True to the spirit of the Additive Days, the event will wrap up with a relaxing, community-focused gathering featuring local street food and live music. It’s not just about tech—it’s about connection. The organizers request attendees be punctual, with registration beginning sharply at 9:00 a.m.

The event’s sponsors and partners reflect its high standing in the industry. Major players like Caracol AM, HP, Markforged, AM Solutions, and AMT PostPro have lent their support. Institutional backing from the City of Pescara, AITA, and Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico further emphasizes the event’s relevance.
