According to a [China.org story,](http://www.china.org.cn/2026-02/17/content_118336960.shtml) the company in question is run by Shenzhen Huafast Industry Co., Ltd., located in the Longhua district of Shenzhen, a manufacturer of filament extrusion machines that would be running its own machines. However, according to another story that [appeared on Xinua News Agency](https://xinwen.bjd.com.cn/content/s69902af6e4b0cd719e9db1ae.html) (and on [TikTok](https://www.tiktok.com/@3dprintingfactory/video/7611870253622054158)), the company is Shenzhen Jinshi Huasu Technology Co., Ltd., located in the Guangming District of Shenzhen and is running Bambu Lab 3D printers (of many different models). The confusion is likely due to similarities in the names (Huafast and Huasu), which led the generalist China.org website to identify the wrong company or to errors in translation. There is likely only one company with 5,000 3D printers (so far), and the TikTok videos point to Jinshi Huasu. [Reporting the story in his The 3D Printing Journal](https://www.3dprintingjournal.com/p/5000-printers-factory?utm_campaign=email-half-post&r=4bndgf&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email), analyst Pawel Slusarczyk noted that assuming conservatively that each printer produces four parts per build plate every three hours, the 5,000-machine facility can output 160,000 parts per day, continuously, without tooling changes or production line warm-ups. At 10,000 machines, weekly output would exceed 2 million parts from a single location—with no changes to the underlying technology—simply more of the same hardware. And for smaller-sized parts, the count goes up fast. A recent order illustrated the practical implications: 40,000 desktop ornaments featuring a horse and the Chinese character "fu," meaning fortune, were completed within one week, from idea to delivery. Company head Li Jian pointed to speed and tooling economics as the model's core advantages. "Products can go from design to market almost instantly. There's no need for expensive, time-consuming molds," Li said. "Complex fidget toys with moving parts can be printed in one piece, with no assembly required." The business, however, has been shifting. "As printing technology and materials improve, more clients are coming to us for custom industrial components," Li said. The shift reflects a broader national trend: China's output of 3D printing equipment surged 52.5 percent in 2025, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. The scale of China's additive manufacturing sector grew from 20.8 billion yuan (approximately $2.86 billion) to 70 billion yuan (approximately $9.64 billion) during the 14th Five-Year Plan period from 2021 to 2025, per the Additive Manufacturing Alliance of China. Technicians at the Jinshi Huasu facility have also been testing new product categories, including shoes and basketballs. At an estimated average cost of $500 per printer—with some units in the facility priced below $300 and others reaching $2,000, likely with volume discounts applied—a 10,000-machine fleet would represent an investment of roughly $10 million. That is comparable to the cost of approximately 10 large polymer Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) systems or a couple of large injection-molding setups. Material costs, which are trending toward parity with injection-molding granules, are not factored in, but they are becoming less of a factor. The arithmetic suggests the model is still in its early stages—and yet the output numbers are already striking. That's with one 3D printer farm. Soon enough, there may be thousands.
