# The third edition of ADDITIV Medical is here!

The use of additive manufacturing in medicine is steadily growing. According to a study published by Meticulous Research, the medical 3D printing market is estimated to be worth $9.6 billion by 2030. To learn first-hand about the importance of this manufacturing method, especially in Spanish hospitals, don't miss this year's event. [On April 25, 2024, a new edition of ADDITIV Medical](https://www.voxelmatters.com/event/additiv-medical/), a hybrid event where the 3D industry connects with the medical and dental sector, will take place in Barcelona. This unique opportunity will serve as a meeting point between the different companies that use 3D printing in the health sector, with those hospitals and research centers in the same field.

## The virtual event for the medical and dental sector

After the success of the two previous editions, where ADDITIV welcomed hospitals and companies such as Hospital 12 de Octubre, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, and Avinent, this new edition aims to continue exploring the benefits of additive manufacturing in the field of health and dentistry. Be there on April 25, 2024, for the ADDITIV Medical event to hear from companies and speakers specialized in different fields of medicine, as well as professionals in the sector who will share their vision of the current state of medical 3D printing.

As last year, the hybrid event will include a first part that will be held virtually, through the online platform Swapcard. Throughout the four hours, knowledge about the use of 3D technologies in the medical and dental sector will be shared.

This day will be dedicated to conferences, workshops, and question-and-answer sessions with health experts. The virtual event will open its doors at 9:00 AM CEST with a keynote address before moving on to the first panel of the day, entitled "How has the use of additive manufacturing progressed in the development of orthotics and prosthetics?" at 9:20 AM. These lectures will last 40 minutes and will cover topics from different healthcare sectors in Spain.

Each panel will be followed by a 20-minute workshop in which a company will showcase an interesting topic or application of 3D technology. In both panels and workshops, attendees will be able to ask questions, live, to the experts. The second conference will start at 10:40 AM and will cover "3D printing regulations in hospitals: perspectives and challenges". Finally, the third and last panel will start at 12:00 PM and will deal with "Dental 3D printing: applications, advances, and future of the industry". Although the topics of the three workshops that will take place after each talk have not yet been confirmed, it is recommended to consult the complete agenda of the virtual event. The topics and speakers of these conferences will be announced in the coming weeks.

As a unique opportunity to meet and network with users and experts in medical additive manufacturing, a few days before the event the doors of the Swapcard virtual platform will be opened - providing a unique space for each user. Through this tool, attendees will be able to connect in advance with companies in the sector, book meetings, and visit company profiles to take advantage of the entire live event.

## A face-to-face meeting with industry professionals

In addition to the virtual component, ADDITIV Medical will once again bring together the 3D industry in person, in Barcelona. Like last year, this meeting will take place at DFactory Barcelona, thanks to our premium partner, IAM3DHUB.
