# The Exploration Company licenses LEAP 71’s Noyron RP for next gen rocket engine development

[The Exploration Company (TEC)](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/the-exploration-company/) has signed a five-year, renewable licensing agreement with [LEAP 71](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/leap71/) to deploy the Dubai-based firm's Noyron RP technology in the development of its next-generation rocket engines. TEC, founded in 2021, develops modular, reusable spacecraft and propulsion systems, including the Nyx orbital resupply capsule and the Typhoon, a high-thrust, full-flow staged combustion rocket engine.

The company has grown to more than 400 employees and recently expanded its propulsion manufacturing capabilities through [the acquisition of Thrustworks Additive Manufacturing GmbH, a German specialist in niobium alloy thruster production](https://www.voxelmatters.com/the-exploration-company-expands-industrial-presence-in-germany-with-thrustworks-acquisition/), adding a facility in North Rhine-Westphalia to its existing centers in Bordeaux, Munich, and Turin.

Hélène Huby, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Exploration Company, stated: “TEC was founded on agility, building and testing fast while staying rigorous on engineering validation. We have been working with LEAP 71 since 2023 and are now taking the next step. 

“Under this agreement, we will use Noyron RP for propulsion component geometry generation as part of our internal computational engineering program. The goal is to broaden the design space we can explore and support faster iteration across successive test campaigns.”

Designs produced using Noyron RP will be validated through TEC's standard analysis and testing processes.

[Noyron RP is a Large Computational Engineering Model (LCEM)](https://www.voxelmatters.com/leap-71-fires-up-first-rocket-engine-built-through-noyron-computational-model/) that encodes first-principles physics, engineering logic, production constraints, and empirical feedback to autonomously generate rocket engine components from abstract performance specifications to manufacturable hardware.

Josefine Lissner, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LEAP 71, stated: “Most space companies still rely on labor-intensive geometric design workflows. Noyron enables engineers to adopt a code-first, high-level approach. Over the past two years, we have validated Noyron RP by hot-firing different rocket engine architectures at a cadence of weeks.”

LEAP 71 was founded in 2023 by Lissner and serial entrepreneur Lin Kayser and is strategically headquartered in Dubai, UAE.
