The Fibonacci House 3D printed by Twente Additive Manufacturing (TAM) is now the World’s first fully 3D Printed concrete tiny home to be listed on the popular house-sharing network Airbnb. Users of the platform will thus have the opportunity to spend a few nights in one of the world’s very first fully 3D printed constructions, in beautiful rural Canada.
This unique architectural home was designed based on the famous Fibonacci Sequence. The listing on the platform is meant as a fundraiser to help World Housing (.org) continue its important mission of solving the housing crisis.
From the location in tranquil Procter, 40 km-s from Nelson, British Columbia, overnight stayers will be able to enjoy the grandiose view of the Purcell Mountains, go hiking, mountain biking or take a walk to the community beach for a dip in the pristine Kootenay Lake.
Interior facilities include space to sleep 4 on the mezzanine (you will need to climb a ladder to get to bed). There is a mesh preventing accidental falls, but people still must be conscious of the edge. In July the house runs for $164 per night, not a huge investment to stay immersed in nature for a few days and be part of history doing so.
The Fibonacci House because conforms to the Fibonacci sequence in its spiral form. This seemingly small structure has 2 lofted rooms for the ability to sleep 4. The structure is fully 3D printed with local contractors finishing up details like the ceiling, windows, and utilities (Wi-Fi is included), and integrated plumbing and electric systems.
