Tekna has successfully completed metal powder qualifications with leading aircraft manufacturer Boeing. This further positions Tekna as the key powder supplier for aerospace OEMs and their related additive manufacturing service bureaus.

Tekna has developed high-quality powders dedicated to additive manufacturing applications. The main features of such powders are high flowability, high density and high purity at controlled production costs. These properties are attained by applying the patented RF Plasma Technology, developed and perfected by Tekna over the last 30 years.

“Tekna is proud to meet Boeing’s demanding BMS specification and to be its first qualified powder manufacturer for BMS Titanium (Ti64) and BMS Aluminum (AlSi10Mg). Furthermore, Tekna manages a robust supply chain, from ingot to packaged spherical powders, thus ensuring reliable supply and material traceability” said Luc Dionne, CEO at Tekna.

As a leader in the advanced materials industry, Tekna develops and produces high-purity metal powders for applications such as 3D printing and microelectronics, as well as optimized induction plasma systems for industrial research and production. Building on 30 years of delivering excellence, Tekna is a global player recognized for its quality products and its commitment to a multinational base of clients, who are leaders in their respective markets.

Tekna’s spherical Ti64 titanium alloy powder, Tungsten Carbide powder, Tantalum powder and Molybdenum powder as well as Tekna’s Spheroidization equipment perfectly meet the needs of industries using additive manufacturing while meeting the most demanding standards.

The capacity for industrial production makes Tekna the partner of choice for this application. The controlled grain size, high sphericity as well as the high level of purity are suitable for manufacturing parts with optimal density.
