Stratasys acquires assets from Nexa3D

Stratasys has acquired a collection of assets from Nexa3D, marking another strategic step forward in reinforcing its leadership in the additive manufacturing industry. With this acquisition, Stratasys now boasts the largest and most robust offering of polymer AM solutions in the market, enabling it to meet a broader range of customer needs across various industries.
The newly acquired technologies will complement and enhance Stratasys’ already expansive portfolio, providing customers with a deeper and more versatile range of solutions for efficient, high-quality production. More specifically, Nexa3D’s high-speed DLP capabilities should complement Stratasys’ Origin business. While Nexa3D’s material extrusion assets, which the company acquired when it took over Essentium, could complement Stratasys’ recently introduced open materials policy for some FDM products.
As the transition unfolds, Nexa3D’s existing customers and partners will be supported by iSQUARED AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stratasys. iSQUARED AG, a company that emerged by offering Stratasys-compatible filaments before being integrated into Stratasys’ offerings, will deliver best-effort support to ensure continuity in the use of Nexa3D machines, parts, and materials. This includes technical assistance and supply chain continuity, helping customers maintain operations without disruption.
Looking ahead, Nexa3D users will also be offered a pathway toward adopting Stratasys’ cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies. Whether it involves scaling up production, transitioning to more advanced polymer solutions, or integrating with Stratasys’ broader ecosystem of software and services, this acquisition opens the door to a wider range of opportunities for both existing and new customers.
