# Steinbach expands ceramic AM fleet with two new CeraFab S65 printers

German contract manufacturer [Steinbach AG](https://www.3dprintingbusiness.directory/company/steinbach-ag/), which offers industrial-grade ceramic additive manufacturing for the aerospace, medtech, and engineering sectors among others, has just expanded its fleet of Lithography-based Ceramic Manufacturing (LCM) systems with the acquisition of two new CeraFab S65 3D printers from [Lithoz](https://www.3dprintingbusiness.directory/company/lithoz/). Steinbach's machine park now includes seven 3D printers, indicating the growing demand for ceramic 3D printed parts.

As a manufacturing partner, Steinbach works with clients from early prototyping stages through to serial production, offering support in design optimization and material choice. Lithoz's LCM technology has been central to the company's ceramic AM competency for the past decade, providing the quality and properties needed for demanding applications and the reliability required to scale from one-off prototypes to serial production.

With two new CeraFab S65 3D printers in operation at its facility, Steinbach will be able to meet the increasing demand for technical ceramic 3D printed parts. Part of this growth is owed to momentum from Formnext 2025, where Steinbach and Lithoz exhibited a range of impressive applications, including [Thales Voro](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-ceramic-am-serial-production-formnext/), a monoblock moving-coil (MC) cartridge for a turntable encapsulated by a fully 3D printed ceramic housing. This delicate, intricately designed part is an ideal showcase for how ceramic AM delivers on both design and performance.

In addition to the two new ceramic 3D printers, Steinbach also recently scaled up its post-processing equipment to include 13 sintering furnaces. This, says Volker Steinbach, CEO of Steinbach AG, will enable the manufacturer to deliver prototypes faster, in just three to four weeks.

The CeraFab S65 machine is one of Lithoz's industrial 3D printing solutions and has become one of its best sellers due to its speed and capacity for series production. First [introduced in 2019](https://www.voxelmatters.com/lithoz-presents-production-ready-cerafab-s65-system-with-4-integrated-build-units/), the S65 is notable for its modular construction, which allows for up to four production units to be integrated. The machine itself has a build volume of 102 x 64 x 320 mm and a build speed of up to 150 layers per hour. The CeraFab S65 has been adopted by a number of other companies, including WZR ceramic solutions GmbH, the United Kingdom’s Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), Sandia National Laboratories, CADdent, and as of recently Safran, which [installed three CeraFab S65 3D printers](https://www.voxelmatters.com/safran-installs-3-cerafab-s65-ceramic-printers-from-lithoz-to-produce-cores/) at Safran Aircraft Engines Gennevilliers to build complex casting cores at scale.
