The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, has visited Meltio‘s factory in Linares (Jaén). Accompanied by Meltio’s CEO, Angel Llavero, and authorities from Linares and Jaén, Sánchez was been able to learn more about the usefulness of the company’s unique wire-metal 3D printing technology. And additive manufacturing in general.

Sánchez was shown how to set up the Meltio M450 metal 3D printer and also learned how the system’s wire welding laser head is able to create very reliable metal parts that can help the automotive, aerospace, mining, oil and gas, defense and many other industries to manufacture and repair metal parts.

Wire-based metal additive manufacturing technologies are gaining in adoption as they can help manufacturing companies gain in productivity, manufacturing autonomy and efficiency. The President learned firsthand how Meltio’s unique laser 3D printing head is integrated with a CNC machine and a robotic arm.

Incorporated in June 2019 through a joint venture of Additec, a Las Vegas-based technology company, and Sicnova, a leading 3D printing equipment distributor originating from Spain, Meltio can also leverage the strategic support of ArcelorMittal, the largest steel producer in the world.
