Solidscape, Inc., a manufacturer of high-resolution inkjet 3D printers based in Merrimack, New Hampshire, has been acquired by a new investor and will recommence normal business operations as an independent company, effective immediately.

“My Solidscape colleagues and I are delighted to provide certainty to our community that we are back to business as usual. We will continue to manufacture our unique range of 3D printers and consumables, provide technical service and support to customers, and develop new products,” said Alban d’Halluin, CEO of Solidscape.

Solidscape pioneered the world’s first commercial inkjet 3D printer in 1994 and serves the jewelry and precision investment casting industries.

Earlier this year, Prodways Group, a company specializing in industrial and professional 3D printing, discontinued its line of small printers for jewelry casting, marketed under the Solidscape brand. According to the company, the disappointing performance in 2023, mainly due to weak machinery sales, led the group to take measures to quickly improve its results.
