SNEAKPRINT launches RetroTechV1 personalized 3D printed sneakers
With a "ME-size" midsole produced on demand using digital data from the SNEAKPRINT imprint kit

Founded in July 2020 by CEO Kevin Zürn, SNEAKPRINT is now officially celebrating its market entry in May 2023 with its first product: the RetroTechV1 sneaker. This sporty, retro-inspired sneaker is available in three variants: a one-colour nappa leather in black or white, or a nappa/suede leather combination in gray and white.
Instead of producing sneakers in standardized sizes, the Munich-based startup aims to revolutionize the shoe industry by offering sneakers individually tailored to the wearer’s foot, manufactured using 3D printing and traditional craftsmanship, in Europe.
To accomplish this, every new customer receives the SNEAKPRINT imprint kit, which allows customers to digitize their feet easily from home. Based on this data, SNEAKPRINT creates a perfectly fitting midsole that is produced using DLP 3D printing technology. The personalized fit and integrated individual cushioning provide the highest level of comfort and prevent long-term foot damage from wearing ill-fitting shoes.
By utilizing 3D printing technology, SNEAKPRINT can manufacture complex shapes and structures that would not be possible using traditional methods. Production is faster and more sustainable compared to traditional production methods. SNEAKPRINT produces the RetroTechV1 in small quantities and only prints on demand rather than large quantities in advance to avoid unnecessary waste.
“We believe that everyone should have easy access to properly fitting shoes,” Zürn continued. “Our custom-made sneakers offer the highest level of comfort and prevent long-term foot damage. At the same time, we are committed to more sustainable production and conscious consumption. We are proud to revolutionize the shoe industry with our innovative products.”
