SLM Solutions to host a series of webinars on AM for the energy segment

SLM Solutions will host a live Energy Webinar Series with well-known partners on Additive Manufacturing in the Oil, Gas and Maritime Industries. The four webinars to be held from May 27th to June 15th will focus on the ever more important issue of standardization and process qualification for these key segments of AM adoption. The first appointment is with the New Additive Manufacturing Standard for the Oil & Gas Industry. During this webinar SLM Solutions and DNV GL will discuss this new framework, and their new standardized processes for the development and use of metal additive manufacturing technology in the oil & gas industry.

The second appointment is scheduled for June 3rd. In a webinar titled Benefits of Additive Manufacturing for the Oil, Gas and Maritime Industries SLM Solutions and Berenschot outline the long-term advantages of metal additive manufacturing over current practices, including the reduction of production costs, new market opportunities, production efficiencies and supply chain benefits.

On June 10th the virtual stage passed to ENGIE Laborelec for a webinar titled ENGIE Laborelec’s Qualification Process for Additive Manufacturing Stainless Steel. In this webinar, SLM Solutions and ENGIE Laborelec will describe the qualification process to ensure high-end components in the future produced with additive manufacturing.

The final appointment, on June 15th will focus on a very practical application of AM in the energy segment, with an online conference titled Additive Manufacturing for Pump Impellers: Advantages, Corrosion Resistance and Economic Efficiency. Here SLM Solutions and Equinor will present the mechanical properties for the impeller material in the as-built and HIP’ed condition and the results of corrosion testing.
