SINTX Technologies names Ryan Elmore President to drive commercial expansion of SiN biomaterials
Former Invibio executive takes on role as SINTX broadens beyond implants into sutures, wound dressings, and 3D printable material formats
SINTX Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SINT) appointed Ryan Elmore as President, effective March 16, 2026, to accelerate revenue growth across the company’s silicon nitride (SiN) biomaterial platforms as the Salt Lake City-based advanced ceramics company pursues a broader commercialization strategy.
Elmore most recently served as Core Business Director at Invibio, a division of Victrex plc, bringing more than 15 years of experience in advanced biomaterials and medical device commercialization to the role. His mandate centers on expanding the adoption of SINTX’s SiNERGY SiN/PEEK biocomposites, advancing business development in non-implantable applications, and translating the company’s materials science intellectual property into licensing and partnership revenue.

Our priority is to convert our materials science and IP into measurable commercial traction through licensing, strategic partnerships, and expanded partnership engagement.”
Beyond implants
Elmore’s scope extends beyond traditional medical device categories. SINTX is looking to sell its antipathogenic fibrous material technologies in products like sutures, mesh, wound dressings, and other fabric. The company is also developing silicon nitride material in 3D-printable filament, extruded rod, and sheet stock formats to ease evaluation and qualification by contract manufacturers and strategic partners across different manufacturing workflows.
Olson said that Elmore’s business goals include expanding SiNERGY SiN/PEEK into additional material types to support both traditional and 3D printing processes, while also accelerating growth in silicon nitride applications beyond traditional implants.
“SINTX has built a differentiated platform around silicon nitride biomaterials, supported by deep materials science expertise, a strong intellectual property foundation, and U.S.-based manufacturing,” Elmore said. “My focus will be to execute a commercial strategy aimed at supporting market engagement across multiple verticals—from SiNERGY SiN/PEEK biocomposites for next-generation implants to antipathogenic fibrous material applications for sutures, mesh, and wound dressings.”
Role and structure
Elmore will work across SINTX’s manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and research and development teams to support product development and compliance, as well as potential distribution, licensing, and strategic partnership arrangements. The appointment follows SINTX’s acquisition of SiNAPTIC Surgical’s assets in mid-2025, which added six foot and ankle implant systems and a commercial leadership team as the company began its transition from a research-focused organization toward revenue generation.
