Sinterit releases new vacuum cleaner, sandblaster and more for SLS 3D printing

SLS 3D printing company Sinterit has debuted three new products to be used in combination with its Lisa and Lisa PRO SLS 3D printers. The new devices, which expand the company’s accessible selective laser sintering technology, are the Sinterit ATEX Vacuum Cleaner with accompanying Cyclone Separator, the Sandblaster XL and the mobile Sinterit Platform for Lisa and Lisa PRO 3D printers.
Sinterit launched the new products to further facilitate the 3D printing process for its clients, making it faster and cleaner. The Sinterit ATEX Vaccuum Cleaner and the Cyclone Separator are designed to speed up the vacuuming process for 3D printed parts and to make it more efficient. The system is dual purpose: it removes powder from the printer’s print bed and collects unused powder particles for reuse. The vacuum system is also ATEX certified, making it a safe and viable option for SLS 3D printing.

“We wanted to introduce not only a tool but a device that is individually designed for the SLS environment, this is why only ATEX vacuum cleaners were on our circle of concern,” said Grzegorz Glowa, CTO of Sinterit. “With Cyclone Separator we wanted to design a simple and user-friendly tool made for better maintenance and powder saving. Now, after vacuuming, the user just removes the separator from the powder container, closes the lid and it’s ready.”
The Sandblaster XL, for its part, is a larger version of Sinterit’s existing Sandblaster device, designed for Lisa PRO users. The new sandblasting system has two separate nozzles and double the workspace of the original Sandblaster, as well as new features like adjustable nozzle diameter, a more powerful light, and more protective PE foils. The Sandblaster XL was brought to market with the goal of making it easier to work with larger printed parts made on the Lisa PRO.

Last but not least, Sinterit has launched a new Sinterit Platform which is designed to improve the operation of the Lisa and Lisa PRO systems, making them mobile and more ergonomic. The company says the platform is the optimal height for powder filling, system cleaning and maintenance. The Sinterit Platform also reportedly makes it easier to take out a print cake. Each Sinterit Platform has two leg heights to accommodate the Lisa and the larger Lisa PRO.
