Sindoh 3D printer customers can now use RIZE’s patented materials

3D printing company RIZE, Inc. has announced a strategic partnership with Sindoh Co., Ltd., a South Korean multi-functional printer and 3D printer manufacturer. Through the collaboration, Sindoh will incorporate RIZE’s portfolio of sustainable RIZIUM materials for its desktop 2X and industrial 7X printers. Together, the partners aim to create new market opportunities and accelerate the adoption of safe and sustainable 3D printing. The partnership was announced today at 3DEXPERIENCE World in Nashville.

Founded in 1960, South Korea-based Sindoh has become a key player in the country’s office automation sector. Not only is the company responsible for having produced South Korea’s first copier, fax and digital multi-function printer, it now also offers a line of 3D printers, 3DWOX, sold through various resellers around the world.

Through the collaboration with RIZE, the latter’s materials are being incorporated for use with some of Sindoh’s systems. Sindoh customers will henceforth have the option of using RIZE’s patented RIZIUM filament-based, engineering-grade polymers with the 7X large-format 3D printer, as well as with its 2X compact desktop machine.

With a build volume of 380 x 390 x 450 mm, the 7X 3D printer was built for industrial applications. Used in combination with RIZE’s materials portfolio, which includes high-durability, industrial-strength polymers, 7X users can pursue various end-use applications. The smaller-scale 2X system, which costs under $4,000, is targeted primarily to the educational market, where sustainable and safe materials are of the utmost importance.

“Sindoh is a proven technology leader with a wide array of 3D Printing offerings, and together we can complement each other’s strengths to capture rising demand for next-generation additive manufacturing technologies,” added Andy Kalambi, CEO of RIZE.

Recently, RIZE became the first industrial 3D printer manufacturer to obtain UL 2904 GREENGUARD certification for indoor air safety and low emissions for its RIZE One system. The certification highlights the company’s commitment to pursuing and delivering 3D printing solutions that meet safety standards for offices, schools and other non-industrial space. Its materials play an important part in this aim.

“RIZE’s unique technology will upgrade Sindoh 3D printers and enable to penetrate into the industry segment in a much stronger position as well as education sector. This will definitely show the synergy effect of how two companies’ strengths working together,” said Byoungbag Lee, CEO of Sindoh.
