Sicnova, a provider of industrial 3D printing technology for the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, has entered a distribution agreement with Discovery 3D Printer, a Spanish company specializing in manufacturing large-format industrial 3D printers capable of printing with pellets and/or filaments. Discovery 3D Printer’s systems are used in a wide range of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors.
The large-format 3D printers from Discovery 3D Printer that Sicnova will add to its product portfolio are:
- Discovery 3D Printer, which features a dual extrusion head that can manufacture parts and prototypes with removable supports or use two different colors or materials in the same production.
- Super Discovery 3D Printer, a system that meets the production demands for a large number of large-size parts and prototypes – printing pieces up to 1.3m x 2.5m x 1m.
- Discovery 3D Printer Hybrid, which combines the direct extrusion of pellets/granules and filament in the same print.
- Super Discovery 3D Printer Compact, the reduced model of the Super Discovery 3D Printer, which can significantly reduce the cost per manufactured piece.
- Super Discovery 3D Printer Workstation, which works with the direct extrusion of granules or pellets and also incorporates a post-processing system for parts.
Additive manufacturing with pellets or granules offers several advantages to consumers, such as cost reduction, a wider variety of materials, the possibility of manufacturing larger parts, and higher printing speed.
