Shipments commence for full-color XRIZE industrial 3D printer
A year after unveiling the 3D printer, RIZE, Inc. is ready to begin shipping its full-color system
Boston-based 3D printer manufacturer RIZE, Inc., has started commercial shipments for its new XRIZE industrial 3D printer. The 3D printer, which was first announced a year ago, offers full-color 3D printing capabilities in an office-friendly packaging.
Not only colorful, the XRIZE system is also built to print functional components from a range of non-toxic and recyclable materials as well as carbon composites and engineered polymers. This creates numerous applications for 3D printing in the production of intelligent parts with color, graphics, logos, QR codes and more. RIZE believes its 3D printer will enable customers to achieve higher degrees of traceability thanks to this ability.
The XRIZE system is based on the company’s patented Fused Filament Fabrication-Augmented Polymer Deposition (FFF-APD) technology, which combines material extrusion with ink jetting. In the process, parts are built up and colorized using a combination of extruded RIZIUM material and RIZIUM inks, the latter of which not only add color but a smoother surface finish, minimizing post-processing.
“The XRIZE 3D printer is a game changer in the industry,” commented Andy Kalambi, President and CEO of RIZE Inc. “XRIZE brings full color into the mainstream to expand applications across many industries and expand usage of 3D Printing across many users—engineering, sales and marketing, production and service. We retain our focus on safety and simplicity to ensure that both new and expert users can join the 3D Printing revolution.”
Like its predecessor, the RIZE One (which recently obtained the first UL 2904 GREENGUARD certification), the XRIZE 3D printer is designed for safe usage. Because it emits zero VOCs, the industrial 3D printer can easily be installed in offices, field settings or factory floors. The full-color printer, which is now shipping to commercial customers, has applications in prototyping, tooling, package design, consumer products, medicine and more.
RIZE will be showcasing the full-color 3D printer as well as other products at Formnext 2019 next week in Hall 12.1, Stand F11.
