# SHINING 3D Metrology expands FreeScan Omni into modular series

[Leading developer of 3D scanning technology SHINING 3D Metrology](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/shining-3d/) has launched the FreeScan Omni Series, positioning it as the industry's first wireless, standalone metrology scanning platform. The system delivers a certified accuracy of 0.02mm and features onboard computing that eliminates the need for external workstations during scanning and inspection tasks.

The platform targets automotive, civil aviation, and heavy machinery sectors where mobile metrology has become increasingly critical.
