SHINING 3D has renewed its Global Industry Partnership with WorldSkills International through 2028, extending a collaboration that began in 2019.

SHINING 3D’s involvement with WorldSkills started with support for the Mechanical Engineering CAD competition, and after the company was elevated to Global Industry Partner status in 2024, its support broadened.

At WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, SHINING 3D is backing five skill competitions: Mechanical Engineering CAD, Additive Manufacturing, Aircraft Maintenance, Autobody Repair, and Dental Prosthetics, a proposed new category.

“Our journey with WorldSkills reflects a shared belief in the power of skills. Beyond supporting established competitions, we also contribute to launching new ones,” said Li Tao, Chief Executive Officer at SHINING 3D.

SHINING3D Inspect, a PTB-certified industrial inspection software, was adopted as an official scoring and evaluation tool at the competition. The software compares 3D scan data of competitors’ workpieces against standard CAD models, generating color deviation maps and dimensional reports intended to provide objective assessment data.

“We are delighted that you have chosen to renew your commitment to WorldSkills,” Francis Hourant, President of WorldSkills International, told SHINING 3D.

Founded in 2004, SHINING 3D has spent more than two decades developing and manufacturing 3D digital products. The WorldSkills Competition draws more than 1,400 young professionals from over 65 countries across 62 skill categories.
