SHINING 3D expands CNAS accreditation
Reinforcing its Accuracy Laboratory’s technical depth, quality management, and ability to deliver internationally recognized calibration and testing for 3D scanning technologies

SHINING 3D, a developer of 3D scanning technology, has successfully expanded its Accuracy Laboratory’s accreditation by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). The extension reinforces the lab’s technical depth, quality management, and its ability to deliver internationally recognized calibration and testing for 3D scanning technologies.
CNAS accreditation is a benchmark of metrology excellence in China and, through its membership in the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), grants international recognition in over 100 countries and regions. For SHINING 3D, this means calibration and test reports issued by its Accuracy Lab carry global authority, bolstering confidence among industrial and dental users worldwide.
First accredited in 2023 (Accreditation No. L18674), the Accuracy Lab was originally recognized for its dimensional accuracy calibration and testing capabilities. The expanded accreditation now covers three calibration projects and seven test projects, adding seven new services to the lab’s portfolio. These enhancements strengthen every step of SHINING 3D’s quality chain, from research and development to mass production.
The lab operates under internationally recognized standards such as VDI/VDE 2634 and ISO 10360, as well as key national specifications for optical 3D measurement and coordinate metrology. Adhering to these benchmarks ensures that SHINING 3D’s scanners meet the most stringent global requirements for precision.

At the heart of the company’s calibration and testing operations is its 1,100m² Accuracy Lab. The facility is engineered for stability, maintaining constant temperature and humidity while isolating vibration to eliminate environmental interference. All measurement standards are fully traceable to national benchmarks, verified through high-precision equipment including coordinate measuring machines, 2D vision systems, and laser interferometers. These conditions guarantee that every measurement result stands up to scientific scrutiny.
Staffed by a team of senior engineers, certified metrologists, and technical specialists, the Accuracy Lab integrates directly into SHINING 3D’s production workflows. Every high-precision scanner undergoes rigorous verification against international standards before being shipped with its own calibration and test report, ensuring consistent performance for customers in demanding industrial and clinical settings.
For SHINING 3D, the Accuracy Lab is not simply a compliance measure but a driver of innovation. Over the past two decades, the company has consistently invested around 20% of annual revenue into research and development. Its efforts have yielded more than 400 authorized patents, including breakthroughs in measurement accuracy down to 4 micrometers. Beyond its internal programs, SHINING 3D collaborates with leading metrology institutions and has played a role in drafting seven national and industry standards for 3D vision.
The expanded CNAS accreditation marks an important milestone for SHINING 3D, consolidating its position as a global leader in precision measurement. By embedding world-class calibration practices into its R&D and production ecosystems, the company continues to build trust with partners and customers across industries. Moving forward, it will deepen its investment in testing and calibration projects, reinforcing its mission to deliver high-precision 3D digital solutions with authority and reliability on a global scale.
