# SHINING 3D expands 3D scanner range with two new models

Shining 3D Metrology, a leading developer of 3D scanning technology, has released two new industrial 3D scanner models: the OptimScan Q9 and FreeScan Omni Lite. [Coming close off the back of the launch of its FreeScan Omni Series platform](https://www.voxelmatters.com/shining-3d-metrology-expands-freescan-omni-into-modular-series/), the expansion of the company’s metrology hardware line continues a busy period of innovation and growth.

The OptimScan Q9 is a fixed 3D scanner with blue LED light and a 0.005 mm accuracy, with certified compliance VDI/VDE 2634 and ISO 10360 standards, as per the entire OptimScan Q Series. The series is targeted at precision manufacturing sectors, including civil aviation, electronics, and cultural creation, and now includes multiple models differentiated by configuration while sharing the same core technology platform.

The FreeScan Omni Lite includes on-device scan-to-inspect workflows and carries the same certifications as the OptimScan Q Series. Shining 3D has positioned the system for on-site inspection work in automotive, construction machinery, energy, and heavy industry applications.

The FreeScan Omni series follows the same tiered structure as the OptimScan Q line, with the Lite model offering a lower-cost entry point than the flagship version.

Shining 3D states that both new models receive identical service coverage as flagship products, including full software functionality, technical support, training resources, and standard warranty terms. The company structured its product portfolio to allow customers to begin with lower-tier systems and migrate to higher-performance models as digitalization requirements expand.

“We once again demonstrate our customer-centric innovation philosophy, leveraging flexible and modular design, scalable performance, and consistent service standards to help more organizations worldwide accelerate their digital transformation journey,” stated Niels Stenzel, Vice General Manager of Shining 3D Technology GmbH.
