Sculpteo launches 3D scanning service for European clients
Customers can convert physical objects into high-resolution digital mesh files compatible with a range of design and production workflows

France-based 3D printing service Sculpteo has introduced a professional 3D scanning service based at its factory near Paris, extending access to customers across Europe. The service enables companies to convert physical objects into high-resolution digital mesh files compatible with a range of design and production workflows.
Customers will be able to ship or drop off components at the Sculpteo facility, where parts are processed using one of two scanning methods, depending on size and complexity.
Smaller components are captured on a rotating automated platform, while larger or more geometrically complex objects are handled through a manual scanning process. Completed files are professionally edited and delivered in standard or custom formats, with optional CAD-ready output available for projects requiring editable geometry.
Sculpteo has positioned the service across several industrial use cases, including reverse engineering of components where original files no longer exist, mold generation from digitized master parts, the design of jigs and fixtures aligned to real-world geometry, and on-demand production of replacement parts. Pricing is determined by part size, complexity, and required resolution.
The launch extends Sculpteo’s existing 3D printing capabilities, creating what the company has described as a complete workflow from physical object to finished part.

Last year, Sculpteo launched a range of innovative PA12 materials, including a food-grade SLS material and a new polyamide for HP’s Multi Jet Fusion platform, which produces smoother qualities to printed parts.
