French 3D printing service bureau 3D Prod has merged with Sculpteo, creating a combined group under the 3D Prod/Platex umbrella. The new entity brings together over 100 employees, more than 7,000 business clients, and production facilities in the Vosges and ÃŽle-de-France regions, with a presence across more than 60 countries.

The combined operation runs 78 industrial 3D printers across over 8,000 square meters of production space, with a stated capacity of up to 100,000 parts per month. The group holds ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications. Combined revenue stands at €17 million ($18.6 million), with a target of €20 million ($21.9 million) by 2027. The group reports producing more than 1.25 million units per year.

The merger gives the combined group access to a broader range of processes, including MultiJet Fusion, selective laser sintering, FDM, stereolithography (both SLA and DLP), and vacuum casting, as well as metal options. More than 75 material references are available across the two platforms.

3D Prod contributes industrial production capacity and finishing expertise, while Sculpteo adds its digital quoting and ordering platform and an established international client base. “With this partnership, we are equipping ourselves to support the expansion of this sector by offering a complete range of services, from prototype to large-scale production, to assist French, European, and American manufacturers at every stage of their development,” said Quentin Kiener, Director of 3D Prod.

The two companies will present jointly at the 3DPRINT Lyon trade show from June 2 to 4 at Eurexpo Lyon, stand D40.
