# ScolioLife integrates 3D printing and AI platform into care model

ScolioLife, an international scoliosis and spinal rehabilitation organization based in Singapore, is planning a [full integration of 3D printing and artificial intelligence into its clinical operations](https://www.voxelmatters.com/biu-and-sheba-medical-center-launch-biomedical-research-institute/), combining in-house custom brace fabrication with a connected-care platform that is currently under development.

The organization's ScolioAlign 3D bracing program pairs [advanced 3D scanning with computer-aided design and manufacturing tooling and in-house 3D printing to produce custom spinal braces](https://www.voxelmatters.com/five-use-cases-that-show-the-life-changing-impact-of-medical-3d-printing/). 

ScolioLife stated the approach is intended to shorten production timelines while producing lighter, better-ventilated, and more individually contoured braces — factors the organization identified as having a direct bearing on patient wear-time compliance, a recognized variable in non-surgical scoliosis management.

## A connected platform to support long-term monitoring

Running alongside the bracing program is ScolioConnect, a patient-facing platform being developed to link patients with their care teams between clinic visits. The system is designed to incorporate AI-assisted analysis of 3D body scans, custom brace design support, and a unified data environment drawing together ScolioLife's existing Scoliometer and ScolioTrack applications, clinical records, and progress monitoring.

“For more than two decades, our goal has been to give scoliosis patients more options than simply 'wait and see' or surgery,” said Dr. Kevin Lau, D.C., M.H.N., Founder and Director of ScolioLife.

“AI and 3D printing allow us to look at each spine more precisely and to personalize care like never before. ScolioConnect is about staying connected to our patients between visits, so progress is measured continuously rather than only at the next appointment.”

## Phased rollout across an international clinic network

ScolioLife operates clinics in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Indonesia, and has served patients from more than 25 countries across Asia, Oceania, Europe, the Americas, and Africa, supplemented by teleconsultation services. The organization stated the technology initiative is intended to extend that international reach and improve access to ongoing non-surgical care.

A phased rollout of the ScolioConnect system across the clinic network is underway, with further availability and feature details expected in the coming months.
