RS Components, the “global distributor for engineers” has developed a keen interest for 3D printing in its many forms. The company believes that as soon as 2020, 3D printers could be improving our health, supporting the army, saving us time in our busy daily routines and more.

The company developed the above piece of interactive content full of predictions of how 3D printing is predicted to change our lives as far as 2060.

These are just a few of the predictions the content reveals:

  • By 2025, 3D printers will print human organs. This will be able to repair damaged organs, such as a heart damaged from a heart attack.
  • By 2030, Nasa will be using 3D printers to print rocket parts. These parts will be used when taking humans to Mars.
  • By 2045, we could be printing out dinner. No more waiting for meals to cook in the oven, we could be printing pizza, biscuits and more.
  • By 2060, hotels will be printing any item guests will need. Forgot to pack your toothpaste? Not a big deal, just print one out!
