RLP (Rapid Liquid Print) is ready to introduce the Levity 3D printer, a unique system that introduces the concept of Gravity Free Manufacturing. Developed over the past five years, RLP’s process removes traditional barriers such as post-production steps, material waste, and safety risks.

With this advanced approach, manufacturers can print objects without additional support structures. Once the printing process is complete, a simple rinse with water is all that is needed. The suspension gel used during printing is completely safe and reusable, making the entire process both efficient and sustainable.

Levity enables 3D printing without supports or waste. Just print in a reusable suspension gel and rinse with water. Complex manufacturing made simple, safe, and seamless. Depth × height × width dimensions: 129.1 × 117 × 223 cm. Build volume: 50 × 50 × 50 cm

The Levity Machine is expected to begin shipping in 2026. Those interested can sign up on RLP’s website for an exclusive spot on the waitlist. In just a few weeks, attendees at RAPID + TCT will have the opportunity to see the printer in action.

RLP’s Gravity Free Manufacturing process

Unlike conventional 3D printing and injection molding technologies, the Levity 3D printer eliminates the need for post-processing, meaning parts do not require sanding, curing, or polishing after printing. Waste is dramatically reduced due to the reusable suspension gel, which enhances sustainability and cost efficiency. Traditional methods often pose safety risks due to removing support structures and handling of sharp or fragile parts. Still, the Levity Machine significantly minimizes these concerns by allowing prints to be completed in a controlled gel environment.

This innovative method ensures greater design flexibility and improved print quality. By eliminating gravity’s limitations, intricate and complex geometries can be achieved with unparalleled accuracy.

Printing with the Levity Machine occurs within a specially designed gel suspension, which supports objects as they are created. This eliminates the need for external supports and allows for designs that would be impossible with traditional 3D printing. Unlike standard layer-based manufacturing, objects printed using this technology require no additional finishing steps beyond a simple water rinse.

The suspension gel, which is entirely safe and reusable, plays a crucial role in maintaining precision throughout the process. This controlled environment ensures that even ultra-soft materials can be printed without distortion. With material-driven, topology-first slicing, the Levity Machine delivers parts that exhibit exceptional detail, uniformity, and durability.

3D printing with Levity

RLP’s proprietary software enhances the Levity™ Machine by using material-driven slicing techniques. This approach optimizes print quality while reducing waste. The ability to print intricate lattice structures at rapid speeds improves production efficiency without compromising part strength or surface smoothness.
Unlike conventional 3D printing techniques that follow rigid, layer-by-layer structures, this machine utilizes non-planar toolpaths that conform to an object’s natural shape. The result is a seamless and highly refined surface finish, reducing the need for any manual refinements.

Material versatility is another key advantage of this technology. The Levity Machine allows for the blending of multiple materials during a single print cycle, creating objects with varying hardness levels and even various colors within one build.

The ability to create large-scale lattice structures with superior comfort and performance in industrial manufacturing makes this technology highly valuable. Lattice-based designs provide excellent ergonomic benefits while maintaining strength, making them ideal for various applications.

This advancement can also benefit the entertainment and fashion industries. By utilizing Gravity-Free Manufacturing, the production of customized silicone prostheses becomes more efficient, offering a better fit, increased comfort, and improved patient durability.

In the medical field, the Levity Machine can provide an efficient solution for manufacturing inflatable bladders used in healthcare applications. The ability to rapidly produce precise and customized medical devices enhances patient care and streamlines production processes.

This technology enables the creation of multi-durometer seals in the construction and transportation industries. By combining multiple hardness levels within a single part, these seals deliver optimized flexibility and durability for demanding environments.
