RISE’s AM Center granted $1 million in new funding
From Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR), to support strategic organizational development, knowledge dissemination, and competence development
According to RISE, the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing (AM Center) has been granted SEK 10 million (approximately USD 1 million) in new funding from Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR) to support strategic organisational development, knowledge dissemination, and competence development over the period 2025-2027.
“We’re thrilled to have received this support,” said Marie-Louise Bergholt, Director of AM Center at RISE. “VGR has been a vital partner since the centre’s inception, and this renewed commitment is a clear recognition that our focused efforts are delivering real value. This funding allows us to strengthen and expand our centre and to build a solid foundation for the future. By making expertise, infrastructure, training, and collaborative spaces in additive manufacturing accessible, we help companies boost their competitiveness both regionally and nationally.”

The AM Center is a collaborative platform where industry, academia, and research institutes join forces to advance additive manufacturing and help businesses of all sizes unlock its full potential. By combining deep expertise across the entire value chain with access to a wide range of AM technologies and materials, the centre enables companies to experiment, validate, and optimise their solutions before committing to full-scale investments.
