Ricoh 3D obtains JOSCAR certification
The Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register certifies compliance for the aerospace and security sectors
JOSCAR (Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is the accreditation and compliance system for the aerospace and security sectors. It provides buyers with instant access to key information to help them select suitable partners and suppliers and opens the door to new customer opportunities for Ricoh 3D.
By their admission: “JOSCAR allows information to be accessed by all participating buying organizations – giving wider market access to meet buyers’ requirements.”
For Ricoh 3D, this latest certification – which has involved a rigorous application process since February – marks another successful milestone in their additive manufacturing journey.
According to Customer Success Specialist, Alessandro Gottardi, who led the application process: “This latest validation is a great achievement for our company, and positions Ricoh 3D as a trusted leader in the AM community and strengthens our existing suite of accreditations and certifications.
“This – Gottardi continued – will help to develop our key growth areas, such as Composite-Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM), for example, enabling us to manufacture parts for drones and other aerospace and security applications. With our strong line-up of materials, there is plenty of scope for our polymers too and our unique aluminum binder jetting technology.”
He added: “The long and exhaustive registration process has been a team effort; working across the whole company, it would not have been possible without the support of colleagues.”
The validation process for Ricoh 3D comprised a company-wide audit, with a strong focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Leadership and commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Resultingly, Ricoh UK Products (RPL) scored 138/151, giving the business an excellent ESG rating of 91.39%.
From over 3000 certified JOSCAR suppliers, Ricoh 3D is listed in the Top 1% for Environmental Policy & Management, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability and Customer Relationships, and Top 10% for Climate Change and Energy Use & Waste.
