Re3DTech is the first AM service to offer Lubrizol TPU for HP 3D printers

Re3DTech, a premier HP 3D printing service provider based in Illinois, expanded its portfolio of 3D printing materials, to include the new Lubrizol TPU (Polyether Thermoplastic Polyurethane) developed by the giant provider of specialty chemicals for the transportation, industrial and consumer markets.

In collaboration with Lubrizol and HP, Re3DTech is going to be the first company to officially offer Lubrizol’s new ESTANE 3D TPU M95A, which allows parts to be produced for a wide variety of applications that require elasticity, increased elongation at break, abrasion resistance, and compression.

“As a global leader in specialty chemicals, we’re excited to join HP’s open 3D materials platform to help drive the digital manufacturing disruption being led by 3D printing,” said Rick Tolin, President of Lubrizol Advanced Materials. “Having access to HP’s industry-first 3D Open Platform Materials and Applications Lab and its wealth of cutting-edge tools, while collaborating directly with our customers, will help secure our place at the forefront of materials innovation and development into the future, while advancing the development of our Estane Engineered Polymers product line.”

Since ESTANE 3D TPU M95A is engineered specifically for additive manufacturing and HP’s Jet Fusion 4200 series 3D printing solution, a broad potential range of serial production possibilities exists, from footwear to automotive and consumer-focused parts.

Common Applications include automotive parts and drive belts, flexible tubes and hoses, seals and gaskets, food processing tools, medical tubes and devices, protective cases  and covers, sporting goods and footwear, wheels, wire and cable applications
