On-demand manufacturing service Quickparts, which specializes in both conventional production methods and additive manufacturing, has introduced a new flexible lead time feature for its 3D printing instant quote service. The upgrade will enable Quickparts customers to choose lead times based on project requirements for a more customizable, flexible production service.

The flexible lead time feature is the latest option in a series of improvements Quickparts has been making to its QuickQuote customer portal. Other upgrades include an instant quote tool for CNC machining, an updated user interface, and a greater material selection for 3D printing and CNC machining services. The news follows another announcement from Quickparts: it appointed Isabelle Nourry as Sales Director of Europe as part of its efforts to grow its business in the UK and Europe.

This enhancement reflects our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our customers and offering them greater flexibility in their 3D printing projects.”

Quickparts is a leading on-demand parts producer, offering its clients a range of different manufacturing processes to choose from, including SLA, SLS, DLP, MJF, FDM and DMP. The flexible lead time options is expected to give the company’s customers greater control over their project timelines and budgets.

In the customer portal for European and UK customers, the options will be offered as either a “standard” or “economy” lead time. Standard lead time is three to five days, while economy is five to seven days (additional post-processing can increase times). The economy option gives customers with more flexibility the opportunity to save money.
