Prototal acquires Italian 3D printing service provider Prosilas

Prototal Industries, the Nordic region’s leading company for additive manufacturing and injection molding in polymeric materials, is now expanding its operations to Italy through the acquisition of Prosilas. The Italian 3D printing service provider’s customers will benefit from a wide range of technologies within Prototal and one of the largest capacities in Europe for additive manufacturing.

Prosilas is one of the leading players in the flourishing Italian 3D printing market and offers services that help customers through the entire workflow – from detail optimization, to prototypes, series production and finishing.

The agreement, which was signed on Tuesday, November 2nd, means that Prosilas will now become part of the Prototal Group and will have access to a wide range of technologies for polymer additive manufacturing as well as injection molding and vacuum casting, all under a single brand. The Prosilas acquisition is Prototal’s second outside the Nordic region (after acquiring 3T Additive Manufacturing’s large polymer AM service business), which is a clear indication of the company’s intention to expand its reach within Europe.

Prosilas has almost 20 years of industry expertise and is one of the leading players in Europe in SLS technology. The Italian company will contribute to an increase in capacity and competence within Prototal. The company is well invested, with the latest technology in 3D printing, as well as specialized and competent operators who deliver to customers all over Europe. Profilas also has the quality certifications ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO / IEC 27001 for cyber security.
