Protolabs, a global leader in digital manufacturing, has adopted the cutting-edge Lumia X1 from Axtra3D to enhance its Additive Manufacturing (AM) production workflow. The introduction of this advanced machine is set to expand Protolabs’ renowned Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing services, further elevating their ability to meet customer needs.

Protolabs selected the Lumia X1 for its unique combination of high throughput, exceptional accuracy, high resolution, and superior surface finish. Equipped with Hi-Speed SLA Hybrid PhotoSynthesis (HPS) technology, the Lumia X1 aligns with Protolabs’ commitment to delivering top-quality parts with fast turnaround times.

Ultracur3D RG 3280 material for electrical connectors

Protolabs will optimize the Lumia X1 using Ultracur3D RG 3280, a material known for its durability and mechanical performance. This high-performance resin is ideal for producing robust parts that meet stringent industrial requirements, including injection mold inserts. By integrating the Lumia X1 with this material, Protolabs aims to enhance the speed and quality of SLA printing, particularly for applications demanding precision and strength.
