PostProcess Technologies Presents Large Format Finishing for Additive Manufacturing

PostProcess Technologies, the only provider of automated and intelligent post-processing solutions for 3D printed parts, announced the introduction of the second generation DECI Rectangular, the company’s largest product in the Surface Finish (SF) series. PostProcess continues to pioneer automated post-printing solutions that eliminate the ‘bottleneck’ associated with manual post-printing of additive parts. This is fundamental to achieving scale and unlocking the promise of 3D printing to drive the future of the manufacturing industry.

The Buffalo, NY, based company’s revolutionary technology accurately interprets and interrogates each part – regardless of geometry. Post Processing Technologies offers a full-range of solutions to support any post-printing requirements. The range currently includes systems for support removal, surface finish, wastewater treatment and more are in development.

The SF DECI Rectangular is the only automated SF machine that has been specifically designed for additive parts. This next generation offering was created based on customer feedback and groundbreaking innovation from the PostProcess team. The SF DECI Rectangular integrates proprietary agitation algorithms into a system that is designed with a large chamber. It is capable of finishing parts printed with any additive technology and all additive materials. This technological advancement will be used for both higher volume production runs or for larger complex geometries. The SF DECI Rectangular offers a divided chamber that allows for two parallel production processes to occur independently, with different consumables, providing additional versatility to accommodate the rapid growth of the industry.

Beckhoff is the exclusive provider of industrial automation components for all PostProcess machines. Beckhoff industrial PCs offer real time data acquisition to intelligently auto tune the machine operation with one-touch programming from start to stop. It is crucial in providing the precision energy management that underpins all PostProcess production solutions, including hardware, software and chemistry.
