# PharmaTher and Craft Health to evaluate 3D printed peptide platform

PharmaTher Holdings Ltd., a Toronto-based specialty pharmaceutical company, is collaborating with Singapore-based Craft Health Pte. Ltd. to evaluate [Craft Health](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/craft-health/)'s CraftMake [pharmaceutical 3D printing platform](https://www.voxelmatters.com/curifylabs-raises-14m-series-a-to-expand-pharmacy-compounding-platform/) for PharmaTher's Personaliz3D Peptides partner ecosystem.

The work will develop peptide formulations and assess CraftMake as a reproducible platform for patient-specific doses, combination formulations and controlled-release dosage forms, and could extend to a broader commercial relationship bringing CraftMake to qualified Section 503A compounding pharmacies.

“Personaliz3D Peptides is not intended to simply repackage traditional compounding. Our objective is to build a repeatable technology and formulation platform that may give qualified healthcare providers greater control over dose, combination, release profile and dosage format,” said Fabio Chianelli, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PharmaTher Holdings Ltd.

## How CraftMake prints doses

CraftMake uses semi-solid paste extrusion at room temperature, without heat or ultraviolet-light curing, and supports single-material, multi-material and pill-in-pill configurations for taste masking or sequential release. Its Production Plus version, built for GMP manufacturing, has dual printheads that print two materials at once, with a claimed dosing accuracy of about ±1% and repeatability greater than 99%.

Craft Health's CraftControl software coordinates printing across multiple units, and its CraftBlends formulations cover immediate, delayed, sustained-release and orally disintegrating release profiles.

## Peptides under evaluation

PharmaTher and Craft Health intend to evaluate six peptides that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee recently recommended for the Section 503A Bulks List. 

The evaluation will cover single and combination-peptide formulations, patient-specific dosing, multi-layer and multi-material products, and formats such as oral thin films and gummies.
