# Osteopore continues Asia expansion drive with Singapore 3D printing service line

Osteopore, a company specializing in [3D printed biomimetic and bioresorbable implants](https://www.voxelmatters.com/georgia-tech-researchers-3d-print-bioresorbable-heart-valves/) for craniofacial reconstruction, rhinoplasty, orthopedic, and dental surgery, is set to continue its growth in Asia with the establishment of a 3D printing services line in Singapore.

The company will target public and private hospitals with pre-surgical planning models and sterilized intra-operative cutting jigs, as it expands its presence in Singapore to meet growing demand from medical institutions and surgeons, and add to its established implant operation.

“The establishment of this service leverages on our competency in the area of 3D design and printing, and strengthens our network with hospitals, clinics, and surgeons, ultimately aiming at improved care for patients,” stated Osteopore CEO Dr Yujing Lim.

“We look forward to the positive impact this additional service will have on the broader medical community.”

Osteopore is one of the global leaders in regenerative solutions, and was an [early innovator in bone scaffold technology](https://www.voxelmatters.com/clinicians-use-3d-printed-bone-scaffolds-to-rebuild-jawbone/). Last month, it signed distribution deals for China, Hong Kong, and Macau as part of its Asia expansion strategy, with a focus on dental, orthodontic, and maxillofacial surgery markets.

It also confirmed plans to open its second global center of excellence, at the University of Hong Kong – the first was established at Singapore General Hospital.

The service-based offering in Singapore will extend Osteopore's position beyond implant manufacturing into digital surgical planning, customized design, and additive manufacturing. The company reported the expansion aimed to improve surgical precision, reduce lead time,s and optimize hospital resource use while creating higher-value revenue streams.

Osteopore’s technology is patented, and its scaffolds are manufactured using a unique, proprietary 3D printing technique with a polymer that dissolves naturally over time, allowing natural bone tissue to develop healthily.

It claims that the technology significantly reduces post-surgery complications commonly associated with permanent bone implants.
