# Optomec introduces Aerosol Jet Education Platform for universities and technical institutes

[Digital manufacturing hardware and software supplier Optomec](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/optomec/) has released the Aerosol Jet Education Platform, a learning system built on the company's patented Aerosol Jet fine-feature printing technology, and which is aimed at universities and technical institutes that want to integrate printed electronics and additive manufacturing training into their programs.

The platform combines purpose-built hardware, [human-machine interface (HMI) software](https://www.voxelmatters.com/altform-debuts-new-identity-and-laser-platforms-ahead-of-formnext-2025/), and a structured curriculum designed to bridge academic instruction with industrial workforce requirements.

Each system ships with Module One, a set of pre-programmed toolpaths and instructor-guided labs covering 10 hands-on analog electronic outcomes and post-process validation techniques.

## Progressive learning through a modular curriculum

The platform's modular Lab Library is structured for progressive skill development, covering conductive trace printing, passive component fabrication, strain-gauge calibration, antenna design, and multilayer circuit manufacture, with integrated lessons on materials science and process optimization.

Additional modules, available via software activation, add advanced material capabilities, an automated toolpath generator, and a graduate-level curriculum for research and expanded training applications.

[Optomec says the system draws on the company's industrial track record](https://www.voxelmatters.com/optomec-and-siemens-advance-metal-repair-with-am/) of placing more than 700 systems with over 200 customers worldwide – including GE, NASA, and Lockheed Martin — to give institutions a training environment that is aligned with production-grade electronics, aerospace, and life sciences workflows.

“Optomec's Aerosol Jet Education Platform closes the gap between academic theory and industrial practice, giving students real experience with the tools and workflows used in modern electronics manufacturing,” stated Robert Yusin, President and CEO of Optomec.

“Partnering with Optomec lets us offer hands-on printed-electronics training that directly supports student readiness for high-tech jobs and research,” added Liu Ziqiang, General Manager and CEO of YUNS Technology, which is partnering with Optomec on the platform's distribution.
