3DEO, a next-generation metal 3D printing technology company, recently hit a key milestone in its commercialization with the one-millionth part shipped to a customer in the month of July. The part in question is a safety razor product for Blackland Razors (see image above). 3DEO’s achievement comes within less than two years since fully commercializing its patented bound metal 3D printing technology in 2020.

“3DEO has been on an exponential growth curve for the last six quarters and we are already booking orders into 2023,” said Matt Petros, CEO of 3DEO. “With over 50 customers in recurring mass production, our business model creates a strong foundation for future growth. We already have the bookings to more than triple revenue this year and we are expecting to triple again next year. All of this is possible because of 3DEO’s Manufacturing Cloud”.

These figures make 3DEO the highest volume production metal 3D printing company in the world. This result was also independently confirmed in the unit analysis section of parts 3D printed by metal AM service providers in 3dpbm Research’s latest report on Metal AM Trends and Opportunities.

To scale its patented metal 3D printers into mass production, 3DEO built its integrated platform – the Manufacturing Cloud. The platform integrates proprietary software, 3D printing, robotics, materials, and process and is transforming the industry by allowing product innovators to launch and scale better products, faster. Not only does 3DEO’s cloud remove time and risk associated with traditional product development; it is also solving some of the nation’s biggest supply chain issues.

3DEO’s Manufacturing Cloud has scaled metal 3D printing to unprecedented levels and, for the first time, is competing with traditional manufacturing like CNC machining and metal injection molding even in high production volumes. Working with many Fortune 500 brands in the medical device, aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer packaged goods industries, 3DEO’s average customer’s annual order quantity is over 20,000 parts per year. In addition, new customers expanded over 10 times within the first 12 months of working with the company.

At $36 billion, 3DEO’s addressable market is already very large and primed to expand dramatically in the next decade. “Megatrends are converging to create a unique moment in time for manufacturing in America, including supply chain chaos, reshoring, accelerated adoption of 3D printing, and the need for environmentally friendly manufacturing”, continues Petros. “Put all of this together and you have a perfect storm for 3DEO to lead a resurgence in American manufacturing. We’re at the center of it all and scaling as quickly as we can to keep up”.
